The process consists of an appointment with INAMI in which a visa application will be submitted and after meeting the requirements, a visa authorization will be obtained, which is necessary to request an appointment at the Mexican consulate closest to the foreigner and thus carry out a consular interview. After obtaining a satisfactory response, the consulate will issue a visa stamped in the passport which will allow entry into Mexico to complete the process of obtaining temporary residence through visa exchange.
